Brown v
Topeka Board of Education: National Historic Site

On October 26, 1992, Congress passed Public Law 102-525 establishing
Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site to commemorate
the landmark Supreme Court decision aimed at ending segregation
in public schools. The site consists of the Monroe Elementary School
and the adjacent grounds. |

Massacre

The Lawrence massacre by a band of Missouri ruffians under Quantrill
August 21, 1863. 150 men killed, eighty women made widows and 250
children made orphans. This work has been made available by the
